I-CARE’s directors believe very strongly that every penny of every donation should go directly to the non-profit's relief efforts.  For that reason, the directors have pledged to fund 100% of I-CARE's administrative costs.  This encourages us to keep I-CARE's overhead low and ensures your donation will directly improve someone's life.  Make a donation today, and you improve someone's life.  It's that simple.  And believe us, it feels good.

MAKE A MONETARY DONATION VIA PAYPAL:

 

Monetary donations are especially beneficial to I-CARE’s work because the money is almost always spent in Central America where the power of your American dollar is greater.  The exchange rate in Nicaragua, for example, is about 20 cordobas for 1 U.S. dollar.  In Managua, for example, 20 cordobas buys a meal more well-balanced and nutritious than most Nicaraguans eat on a daily basis.  So even a small donation turns into HUGE relief!  Even better, when we inject U.S. dollars in the local Central American economies, it circulates many times over--multiplying the benefits of your donation.  It’s truly a great return on your investment in humanity, and you can be sure it is safe and secure because we are PayPal Verified.  In addition, every donation you make is tax deductible.

                                        

DONATE GOODS:

Because some of the goods I-CARE uses for its relief effort are cheaper to buy in the United States than in Central America, we often purchase goods here and find ways to get them cheaply to where they are needed.  An alternative to purchasing goods in America, of course, is to receive them as donations from our supporters.  We currently are requesting donations of multi-vitamins and medical supplies.  Please email us if you would like to help.

DELIVER GOODS TO CENTRAL AMERICA:

Are you traveling to Central America or would you like to?  If so, you may be able to help I-CARE deliver goods to those in need.  One of our biggest difficulties is finding inexpensive ways to deliver our goods.  Shipping large amounts of goods at once requires patience and incurs substantial shipping costs.  A better way is often provided through the help of volunteer travelers.  Currently, we have two locations in Central America that serve as delivery locations for incoming goods:  San Jose, Costa Rica and Managua, Nicaragua.  Once delivered to these locations, our volunteers will make sure the goods you deliver get to their final destination.  As an added bonus, if you deliver some of our goods we will have a volunteer pick you up at the airport and take you to your destination within Managua.  If you're leaving Managua, we'll find an inexpensive way to get you where you need to go.  It is a great way to make you feel even better about your vacation!  If you are interested, please contact us.

DONATE AIRLINE MILES!
      I-CARE's directors and volunteers travel south as often as possible to oversee our projects.  As we mentioned above, the directors cover all administrative costs.  So flight costs can be a true limiting factor.  The reality is, they inhibit our directors' abilities to make donations for other projects.  In an effort to minimize these costs and ensure that every dollar raised by I-CARE directly improves the lives of needy Central Americans, I-CARE is seeking generous donations of 35,000 airline miles - the equivalent of international airfare for one.  If you are willing to help in this regard, or know someone who is, please CONTACT US!
